President Trump announced the approval of the extradition of Tahawwur Rana to India. Rana is accused of involvement in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. In their joint press conference, President Trump stated, “I am pleased to announce that my administration has approved the extradition of one of the plotters [Tahawwur Rana]… to face justice in India.” While the primary focus of the meeting was on trade discussions, with both leaders agreeing to initiate talks to ease tariffs and enhance economic cooperation,there was no direct mention of the Khalistan movement during the public statements.
